EFINOVE: INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY IN SPORT

Abstract

The description of this report aims to demonstrate, present and show the activities carried out by the Study Group of the Laboratory of Physical Education in Innovation and Technology in Sport - EFINOVE. The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports (FAEFID) has an important training centre with modern facilities for practice, such as an athletics track, a swimming pool, a multi-sports arena with a capacity of 2300 people, as well as a building that houses spaces suitable for martial arts, gymnastics and the Postgraduate Programme in Physical Education. The EFINOVE laboratory has different facets and activities, the laboratory includes the Study Group on Sport Management, Innovation and Technology, in addition to the development of university extension activities through the EFINOVE extension project: Consultancy on Innovation and Technology in Sport. Looking at the reality and the market in which we find ourselves, the elements of innovation and technology that permeate today's society require constant learning and dynamic knowledge. Therefore, the challenge of creating studies that can be a starting point for new academic ventures provides feedback on our ability to develop sports management in the country.
